Multi-Media Sales Representative

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Sell print and online classified and display advertising space for publication within designated categories via incoming calls, outgoing calls, faxes and e-mails
  • Become proficient in client systems including lead generation and sales tracking CRM software
  • Depending on the publication and category assigned to, some travel is required
  • Analyze results from needs assessments with Advertisers to prepare proposals of advertising solutions
  • Process Ad orders accurately, and provide proofs to customer for authorization, within strict publication deadlines 
  • Interact and maintain favorable contact with client publication and its’ advertisers
  • Cooperate with members of extended team (i.e. Inbound Customer Sales Advisors, Customer Service Representatives, Team Lead, etc.) to provide highest quality and efficiency of service
  • Call upon dark accounts in effort to re-establish an advertising commitment, thus increasing overall revenue opportunities
  • Contact prospective customers through provided lead lists and leads procured through own initiatives to explain value of advertising in client publication with overall goal of increasing client advertising base
  • Manage existing accounts as assigned, for the continued sale of products in assigned area(s)
  • Consult with potential customers to present package options with quotes and cross sell/up sell in both print and online media platforms
  • Responsible for timely resolution of customer service issues
  • Provide and be knowledgeable in client market demographics and research, including competitive media, as it applies to the advertiser or a specific marketing campaign
  • Provide productivity reports to Manager as required
  • Provide support on other projects as needed
  • Accomplishes all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education, Experience and Competencies

  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field is preferred
  • Preferred Experience: Demonstrated sales performance with a minimum of 2 years outbound/outside sales experience or media sales background
  • Ability to balance competing priorities and work under strict deadlines
  • Well developed time management, organizational and follow-through skills
  • Intermediate Level skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proficiency with internet research tools

Customer Sales Advisors

 

Responsibilities Include:

Professionally managing inbound classified advertising calls. Creating and entering accurate and effective classified ads in our automated system. Providing exceptional, friendly and professional customer service and a positive sales experience for every caller. Generating results for our clients' customers.

Necessary Skills:

  • Full-time and part-time, day and evening shifts available
  • Weekend availability a plus
  • High school diploma or GED, college preferred
  • Demonstrated sales ability
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong grammar, spelling, and keyboard skills
  • A professional, enthusiastic attitude
  • A strong work ethic and team spirit
  • Bilingual English and Spanish language skills are a plus

Vital Notice Representatives

Accept incoming calls, faxes and e-mails of obituary notices, in memoriams and legal notices to be typed and formatted for publication.  Attention to detail and the ability to follow formatting rules are critically important.

Candidates should possess excellent communication skills, the ability to type 35 wpm and have strong computer skills.  Well developed customer service skills and acute attention to grammar is also required.
